Music & credits

Fly grows from Rychor's MidiBall landscape. The dragon, flight and instruments were created for Fly.

A quiet ensemble

These naturally slow MIDI selections keep their original tempo. Flute carries the melody, with soft harp and warm strings playing the original accompaniment. Each selection lasts at most one minute, with a four-second crossfade.

The contributor editions are marked Public Domain. Original MIDI bytes are retained; instrument sounds are synthesized. No source recording is used. Source records and checksums.

The landscape

Earth coastlines, countries, natural lakes, rivers and landforms come from Natural Earth (public domain), pinned to repository revision ca96624a. Terrain relief and climate palettes are stylized procedural approximations. This is Earth imagined without modern development, not an accurate prehistoric reconstruction. Seven named peaks have sourced geographic locations; not every landmark is modeled. Data sources and checksums.

Rendering

Three.js 0.186.0 under the MIT license. No remotely loaded models, textures or audio.
